New melody in C pentatonic minor

I didn’t plan to, but after choosing, almost randomly, a musical scale and a software instrument, and strumming a few notes, something reminiscent of Japan and Orient and Far Away came out, and what I eventually created is a track that I baptised “Japanese Summer Nights”. It is one of the first pieces that I made up with the help of my new Novation LaunchPad X, that made it easy to use a given scale (C pentatonic minor).

It is now available on Pond5.

I created the album art starting from a photo I took with my Bronica SQ-A at the botanical gardens of the University of Durham in England.
