The Britons have a funny way of calling their plumbers.
Today the station toilet (New Eltham, of course) was “out of order”, and a notice politely said that “an engineer has been called”.
E` dura il mestiere dell’ingegnere, qui – dell’ingegnere vero, dico. Bisogna ch’io trovi un’altra parola per fare capire (o per cercare di far capire) cosa faccio. Senza offesa, ma non sono un idraulico.
